Shishu is a Hindi word, loosely used to describe a child or a baby. This is the most appropriate name that I could find to call my business, my baby. In 2020, my appreciation for all things heated wax skyrocketed when I stumbled into a candle suppliers shop by accident (there is a story there). Every single cell in my brain was on hyper-alert. The scents, the waxes, the containers, the possibilities…but mostly the scents. Inspiration and motivation struck me hard at that moment, all I wanted to do was use my hand to make something beautiful. I had no idea how to do that, so I had a lengthy conversation with the lady at the shop. She was so encouraging and informative. I left that shop with a basic recipe, all the scents that I was allowed to purchase, and my head in the clouds.

 

Fast-forward to 2022, and after two years of research, testing, successes, failures, and extensive discussions with other candle makers, my baby was born. I could not be prouder of the product, and the brand that was created. Shishu Candle is a locally owned, boutique candle shop that creates small, hand-poured batches of soy and coconut candles and melts.
